My grandmother was a Hensby. Our Hensbys came from Hunstanton in Norfolk. My Gt. gt. grandfather was named Alonzo and his father was named Christmas. Christmas is also found as Hinsky. Exotic sounding names aren't they? Alonzo married Elizabeth Farrow and they produced Robert, Cecilia, Frederick and Walter. Alonzo and Elizabeth married in Ingoldisthorpe and then moved to Gt Hadham in Herts Where the children were born. From there their son Henry Robert (Harry) moved to London and became a carpenter working for Waring and Gillows, the furniture makers. My line descends from Robert. I know that Walter has surviving descendants so if you're out there please get in touch.
